As the various promotional schemes provided by the biking-sharing companies have become generally known, riding in this way has become a fashion that has expanded from the big cities to smaller ones.
According to a latest report from Trustdata, a mobile internet big data monitoring platform, the number of new users of the bike-sharing program reached 10 million in March.
As the pioneer and leader of the industry, ofo outperformed others, with 4.51 million new users, accounting for 41 percent of all total nationwide. Its biggest competitor, Mobike, gained 3.49 million new users in March.
The report also released the per-week active permeability of bike-sharing apps for the first quarter of this year, which is calculated by the number of active users of the app divided by the number of active users in the overall market, based on data for the period of March 27 - April 2.
The first place inevitably went to ofo, with per-week active permeability of 0.523 percent, followed by Mobike and Coolqi, with a permeability rate of 0.487 percent and 0.064 percent respectively.
